Marine Applications: anchor monitoring

Anchor monitoring

About the application:
The system monitors the load, length (distance), break force, angle and speed of the line. The holding force of anchors can be measured as well as monitoring an anchor pattern and position offset. The standard system is able to handle up to 12 winches. If required forces can be measured in x-y-z panes. The system has 3 different statuses: green is safe, amber is pre-warning (last 10%) and red means max allowed position offset, SWL, speed or line length.

The system is equipped with a display showing the operator the actual loads (holding forces), brake forces, position offset, line lengths, line speeds and hydraulic pressures. Slave display for bridge and or control room as per customer requirement. For on deck, an option is to install a big numeric display with 50m read out in daylight showing load in the line.

Another option is to install winch drum cameras.
Data-logging is standard. Dedicated data-analysing software (running on standard window-pc) enables users to search for events (max position offset, max cable loads, holding forces)

Furthermore, other external forces on the barge/vessel like wind-force, wind-direction, propulsion and towage can be incorporated.
